Meetings.
Next meeting will be Tuesday September 1, 2026 at the Gateway Diner 7:00 PM . Menu. There is also a MANDATORY Board meeting for the election. The point show and upcoming elections will dominate the evening’s discussions. Other topics will include the FastCat, the match show, and an update on legislative issues.
Match.
This 2026 match was held in conjunction with our FastCat event held on Mother’s Day weekend. An entry of five. Thanks be to Calley who was match chair and does so much for the club.
Handling Classes.
Handling classes are suspended until further notice. We are concerned over the bird flu issue. We know this may disappoint some, but better safe than sorry.
FastCat.
We held this year’s Fast CAT on Mother’s Day weekend, May 9–10, 2026, at the Altamont Fairgrounds. Weather not so good on Saturday, much improved Sunday. Lots of dogs, lots of fun. The event went very well. Thanks to all the members that came and helped out.
A special thank-you to Kirsten for putting this event together. It was beautifully run this and last year.
Point Shows.
Shows are held in West Springfield, Mass. at the Eastern States Exposition grounds in the Better Living Center. Albany show dates are October 16 and 17, 2026. Troy Kennel Club show will be on the following day. There will also be specialty events there that weekend as listed.
The National Owner Handler Series is offerred by the Albany, Troy, Quinnipiac Poodle, Puli, and Berkshire Belgian Teruren Clubs. It is not listed, as of August 5, as being offerred by the CKCS Club on either of their days.
